- Roseola
- SYMPTOMS. First signs are a fever of 103 to 104 degrees F. In a few days
- (3 or 4) the fever falls and a rash of reddish-pink color will appear on the
- abdomen and chest. The extremities and face may be affected to some extent.
- The rash will disappear in 1 or 2 days. In the meantime the child feel well.
- CAUSES. It is believed to be caused by a virus. It is an acute disease that
- affects infants and young children.
- TREATMENT. No specific treatment. High fever reduced with sponge baths.
- .No other treatment is usually required after the temperature becomes normal
